Μποζίκη οικογένεια… νέα σπάνια και πολύ ενδιαφέροντα έγγραφα.

Από τον κύριο Jerome Farrell από το Λονδίνο πήρα τα έγγραφα που σας παρουσιάζω παρακάτω. Τα έγγραφα αυτά (ένα κύριο έγγραφο του 1757, η αντιγραφή του, και η μετάφραση του στα Αγγλικά) που μου δόθηκαν από τον κύριο Farrell, ανήκουν αποκλειστικά στον εξάδελφό του στην Ισπανία Juan Antonio Rubio Sancho d’Avila. Είναι αμφότεροι απόγονοι του  Rodolfo Bosichi  (Ρόδη Μποζίκη).

Πριν την παράθεση των εγγράφων θα μεταφέρω εδώ το μέρος του συνοδευτικού των εγγράφων, κειμένου που μέσω ηλεκτρ. ταχυδρομείου μου έστειλε ο κ. Jerome Farrell:

1. Ένα 8σέλιδο έγγραφο του 1757 στα ιταλικά (μερικά μέρη είναι στα Λατινικά και το τελικό μέρος είναι στα Ισπανικά).

Το έγγραφο ανήκει στην αποκλειστική  κυριότητα ενός ξαδέλφου μου στην Ισπανία, και περίμενα να πάρω μία απάντηση από αυτόν – τώρα έχει επιβεβαιώσει ότι είναι ευτυχής να βάλετε αυτό στον ιστοχώρο σας (εάν το θέλατε). Εάν το κάνετε, παρακαλώ να περιλάβετε αυτήν την εξήγηση της πηγής: «Αντίγραφο ενός αρχικού εγγράφου στην αποκλειστική ιδιοκτησία στην Ισπανία, που παρέχεται ευγενικά από Juan Antonio Rubio Sancho d’Avila, έναν άμεσο απόγονος του Rodolfo Bosichi». Το έγγραφο αναφέρεται στο παρελθόν σε άλλα έγγραφα στη Βενετία από το έτος 1701 για την οικογένεια Bosichi.

3. Η μετάφρασή μου του ίδιου εγγράφου στα αγγλικά.

Το έγγραφο δημιουργήθηκε το 1757 για το Rodolfo Bosichi  (Ρόδη Μποζίκη), τον πρόγονό μου που γεννήθηκε στην Πάτρα, και εξηγεί ότι ήταν ο παλαιότερος γιος του Leonardo Bosichi (που παντρεύεται τη Μαρία Mandelo, από την Αθήνα), ότι ο Leonardo γεννήθηκε επίσης στην Πάτρα (ο μόνος γιος του Stamatello ή του Michele Bosichi, και η σύζυγός του Floru ή Fiorina Mercadante που ήταν επίσης από την Αθήνα), και ότι ο Stamatello (ή Michele, ή Σταμάτης) Bosichi αποχώρησε από την Αθήνα για να εγκατασταθεί στην Πάτρα, το 1688. 

Ελπίζω ότι θα βρείτε αυτά ενδιαφέροντα. Θα ήμουν ευτυχής για το όνομά μου να τεθεί στον ιστοχώρο σας, με ένα μήνυμα που στέλνει τους χαιρετισμούς μου σε όλα τα άλλα μέλη της  οικογένειας Μποζίκη και μιας εξήγησης που είμαι ο μεγάλος-μεγάλος εγγονός του Rodolfo (Rodis) Bosichi (Ρόδης Μποζίκης), ο οποίος αποχώρησε από Πάτρα ως μικρό αγόρι για να εκπαιδευτεί στο κολλέγιο Flanghini στη Βενετία (1723-1730), και το οποίο εγκαταστάθηκε στο Καντίζ στην Ισπανία το 1732, και έμεινε εκεί για το υπόλοιπο της ζωής του, αφού παντρεύτηκε εκεί μια Ισπανίδα γυναίκα. Η γιαγιά μου γεννήθηκε στο Καντίζ, αλλά παντρεύτηκε έναν Άγγλο, ο οποίος είναι ένας απόγονος του Ρόδη, του Leonardo και του Σταμάτη Bosichi και ήρθε να ζήσει στην Αγγλία σήμερα. Θα ενδιαφερόμουν ιδιαίτερα εάν καθένας (κάποιος) που διαβάζει το blog σας προερχόταν από τον ίδιο κλάδο αυτής της οικογένειας, ή αν ξέρει κάτι περισσότερο για αυτούς.».

Ο κύριος Jerome Farrell, ο οποίος είναι κάτοικος Λονδίνου και του οποίου η ηλεκτρονική διεύθυνση είναι: ortus@btinternet.com, όπως και παραπάνω διαβάσατε, επιθυμεί να στείλει  τους χαιρετισμούς του σε όλα τα άλλα μέλη της  οικογένειας Μποζίκη στην Ελλάδα και σε όλον τον κόσμο και να τους πει  ότι είναι απόγονος του Rodolfo (Rodis) Bosichi (Ρόδη Μποζίκη).

Παρακαλώ όποιον κάνει χρήση αυτών των εγγράφων, να αναφέρει την παραπάνω πηγή. Επίσης όποιος έχει περισσότερα σχετικά διαφωτιστικά στοιχεία μπορεί, αν θέλει να μου τα στείλει ώστε να αναρτηθούν εδώ.

Οι πιό επιφανείς, και περισσότερο άριστοι Λόρδοι, οι Λόρδοι Overseers των Φεουδαρχικών Δικαιωμάτων των οποίων τα ονόματα γράφονται κατωτέρω.

Μία καταγραφή της ταπεινής και σεβάσμιας ικεσίας που έγινε για λογαριασμό του, και στο όνομα, του πιστού Κόντε Ροδόλφου Μποζίκη, αθηναίου, στον οποίο το φιλεύσπλαχνο κυρίαρχο κράτος φαίνεται να είναι στην ευχάριστη θέση για να επεκτείνει τις πράξεις της Βασιλικής Μεγαλοδωρίας του προς το πρόσωπο και το Σπίτι του ιππότη Stamatello ή αλλιώς Michele Bosichi, αθηναίου, (του Ροδόλφου παππούς),  με την απονομή στο ίδιο πρόσωπο και τους νόμιμους απογόνους του του ειδικού τίτλου του Κόντε, σε γενναιόδωρη αναγνώριση των καλών υπηρεσιών που παρέχονται, όπως εμφανίζεται αναλυτικώτερα στο ευγενικό διάταγμα της άριστης Συγκλήτου της 19ης Ιανουάριου 1701, για τα οποία υπάρχει ισχυρισμός από τον εν λόγω Εγγονό και απόγονο του εν λόγω Κόμη Ιππότη Stamatello ότι το όνομά του και των νόμιμων απογόνων του εις το διηνεκές θα πρέπει να καταχωρηθεί στο βιβλίο με τίτλο: Οι άνθρωποι με τον προαναφερθέντα τίτλο του Κόμη. Και επίσης βλέποντας το ανωτέρω αναφερόμενο διάταγμα της εξαιρετικής Συγκλήτου, που έχει εξετάσει τις παρασχεθείσες καλές υπηρεσίες και τους τίτλους του πρώτου επενδυμένου Κόμη Ιππότη Stamatello ή αλλιώς Michele, και που έχει ακούσει την άποψη του γιατρού Nicolo Caramundani, Νομικού Συμβούλου: Οι εξοχότητές τους έχουν προσδιορίσει, και καθορίσει, και έχουν διατάξει, ότι το όνομα αυτού του ικέτη θα πρέπει να παραμείνει καταχωρημένο υπό τον τίτλο του Κόμη στο βιβλίο με τίτλο: Οι άνθρωποι, που έχει τη μορφή ενός δημόσιου διατάγματος και έχει κατατεθεί ενώπιον του Δικαστηρίου, και έτσι επίσης πρέπει να γραφτούν εκεί μέσα τα ονόματα των νόμιμων απογόνων του στο διηνεκές, σύμφωνα με το ανωτέρω διάταγμα, απ’  από όπου και θα απολαύσουν τη νομική χρήση του εν λόγω τίτλου με τις τιμές, τα προνόμια και τα δικαιώματα της προτεραιότητας που ανήκει σε ανθρώπους με τέτοιο τίτλο.

Οι πιο επιφανείς και άριστοι Λόρδοι, οι Λόρδοι Επίσκοποι των Φεουδαρχικών Δικαιωμάτων

Μπορεί αυτό να ευχαριστήσει  το φιλεύσπλαχνο Κυρίαρχο Κράτος για να επεκταθούν προς το πρόσωπο και το σπίτι του τζέντλεμαν Ιππότη Stamatello ειδάλλως Michele Bosichi, αθηναίου, οι πράξεις των Κυρίων της Βασιλικής μεγαλοδωρίας μέσω της απόκτησης  από το ίδιο πρόσωπο και για τους απογόνους του στο διηνεκές του ειδικού τίτλου του Κόντε, σε γενναιόδωρη αναγνώριση των καλών υπηρεσιών που έδωσε, όπως αναλυτικά εμφανίζεται στο ευγενικό διάταγμα της εξαιρετικής Συγκλήτου της 19^ης Ιανουαρίου 1701. Από το ίδιο πρόσωπο γεννήθηκε ο Leonardo, και από τον [ Leonardo ] μεταξύ των άλλων, γεννήθηκε ο Rodolfo, εγγονός του εν λόγω Κόμη και Ιππότη  Stamatello, και αυτός ο [ Rodolfo ] ασκεί έφεση, σύμφωνα με το νόμο, στην αρχή του παρόντος Περισσότερο Αρίστου Δικαστηρίου, και ευλαβικά ικετεύει ότι το εν λόγω πρόσωπο με αυτό το όνομα, και εκείνοι των απογόνων του που θα έχουν αυτό στο διηνεκές, θα πρέπει να παραμείνουν καταχωρημένοι στο βιβλίο με τον Τίτλο Ανθρώπων με τον προαναφερθέντα τίτλο του Κόμη, από όπου θα απολαύσουν τη νομική χρήση αυτού του τίτλου με τις τιμές, τα προνόμια και τα δικαιώματα της προτεραιότητας που ανήκει σε τέτοιους, με αυτό τον τίτλο, ανθρώπους, και ότι αυτό είναι, σύμφωνα με το παραπάνω διάταγμα: Ευχάριστες ευχαριστίες.

Χρονολογείται 20^η  Ιούλιος 1757

Μια αίτηση που υποβάλλεται στο άριστο δικαστήριο των φεουδαρχικών δικαιωμάτων από το Σπυρίδωνα Καπετανάκη για λογαριασμό, και στο όνομα, του πιστού Κόμη Rodolfo Bosichi, δηλώνοντας ότι αυτός είναι ο ενδιαφερόμενος να έχει το όνομά του καταχωρημένο στο βιβλίο των με τον τίτλο Οι Άνθρωποι, μαζί με τα ονόματα των νόμιμων απογόνων του, όσων θα έχουν τον τίτλο του Κόμη.

Morea Bosichi. Χρονολογείται την 27^η Ιουλίου 1757. Η διαταγή της Κρίσης αυτού του Αρίστου Δικαστηρίου με σημερινή ημερομηνία, σχετικά με το διάταγμα της εξαιρετικής Συγκλήτου της 19^ης Ιανουαρίου 1701 από την οποία ο τίτλος του Κόμη παρασχέθηκε, σε αυτόν και σε όλους τους νόμιμους απογόνους του, στον τζέντλεμαν Ιππότη Stamatello ειδάλλως Michele Bosichi, αθηναίο, σε γενναιόδωρη αναγνώριση των καλών υπηρεσιών που παρέχονται από αυτόν, ότι οι ακόλουθοι πρέπει να καταχωρηθούν με τον τίτλο του Κόμη στο παρόν βιβλίο: Κόμης Ροδόλφος Bosichi τζέντλεμαν, Κόμης Leonardo τζέντλεμαν, Κόμης Ιππότης Stamatello ειδάλλως Michele Bosichi.

Το αθηναϊκό έθνος είναι υπερήφανο για να είναι η πρωτότοκη και αφιερωμένη κόρη των περίφημων νικών σας στο βασίλειο του Μοριά, και οι πολίτες αυτής της Χώρας μέσω των εθελοντικών τους απωλειών διαπρεπών θέσεων και των όχι άνευ ουσίας υλικών απωλειών τους, έχοντας γίνει σε δόξα των περισσοτέρων πιστών  θέματων του Φιλεύσπλαχνου Κράτους σας και των ενθέρμων οπαδών σας, θαυμάσια προχωρούν.  Μεταξύ των πολλών κορυφαίων ανθρώπων που ενώθηκαν να παρέχουν τις καλές και σεβάσμιες υπηρεσίες σε σας και στον κίνδυνο να διακινδυνεύσουν τη ζωή τους για τη μεγαλύτερη δόξα σας ήταν ο ιππότης Stamatello Bosichi, διαπρεπές πρόσωπο της Αθήνας, και ο πιο ταπεινός υπήκοος και υπάλληλος της ηρεμίας σας, ενώ μετά την κίνησή του, μαζί με την οικογένειά του, από την πατρίδα του σε Morea έδωσε την πραγματική απόδειξη της πίστης του σεβασμού του μέσω των πιο επικίνδυνων ρίσκων που αναλήφθηκαν σε όλες τις εκστρατείες του προηγούμενου πολέμου, διακινδυνεύοντας όχι μόνο τη ζωή του αλλά και αυτή του αριθμού των 100 και πλέον ανθρώπων που συγκεντρώθηκαν στη σημαντικότερη υπεράσπιση του Lepanto [Ναυπάκτου;].  Μην ξεχνάτε Γαληνότατε Πρίγκηπα, η μακρά σειρά των πολλαπλών υπηρεσιών που παρέχονται για το δημόσιο όφελος με τη συνοδευτική συμμετοχή του στα συμφέροντα δημόσια καθήκοντα, είτε σχετικά με την προμήθεια των ουσιαστικών παροχών μέσω της χορτονομής είτε μέσω πολλών άλλων δημόσιων ανησυχιών, ενώ οι επιστολές του καπετάνιου General Corner και άλλων δημόσιων αντιπροσώπων μπορούν να επικυρώσουν τη μεγάλη περίοδο της υπηρεσίας και μεγάλης αφοσίωσής του στο σεβαστό όνομά σας.  που επισημαίνεται με την παροχή τέτοιων υπηρεσιών, εμφανίζεται πιο ταπεινά μπροστά από τον Αύγουστο στο Θρόνο της Γαλήνης Σας μέσω του μεσάζοντός του και με την πρώτη ταπεινή αίτησή του εκλιπαρεί με το βαθύτερο σεβασμό από τη φιλεύσπλαχνη μεγαλοδωρία σας τον τίτλο earldom [ Countship ] πέρα από τις ιδιότητες που κατέχει αυτός για τη χρηματοδοτική μίσθωση, που περιλαμβάνεται στην συνημμένη σημείωση, μόνο και όσον αφορά το φόρο της δεκάτης και αυτή [ φόρος; ] που μπορεί να επιβληθεί γενικότερα και παρακαλεί όπως η ευεργετική ακτίνα της πατρικής ευεργεσίας σας μπορεί να έρθει να φωτίσει το πρόσωπό του με τον τίτλο του Κόμη και, έτσι ομοίως να δώσει από το πρόσωπό του για να εξωραΐσει την οικογένεια και το μέλλον του στο διηνεκές.  Τόσο πολύ και με σεβασμό υποκλινόμενος, ικετεύει αυτό της γενναιόδωρης ανοχής της Γαληνότητός  σας και έτσι ώστε αυτό θα αποτελέσει παράδειγμα για την πατρίδα, σε άλλους, και σε όλους εκείνους στον κόσμο που μπορεί να έρθουν να θυσιάσουν τον ιδρώτα τους και τη ζωή τους για αυτήν την πάντα διάσημη και ένδοξη Δημοκρατία. Μεταξύ των αθηναϊκών οικογενειών που μετέφεραν τα σπίτια τους στο βασίλειο του Μορέως, συμπεριλαμβάνεται και εκείνη του Ιππότη Stamatello Bosichi που διακρίνεται για την αφοσίωσή του προς την εξουσία μας στις πολλές συγκρούσεις του τελευταίου πολέμου, και ειδικότερα στις επικίνδυνες έκτακτες ανάγκες στην Κόρινθο και σε Lepanto [Ναύπακτο;], όπου έσπευσε με έναν καλό αριθμό άλλων ατόμων με δικά του έξοδά, που απασχολήθηκαν με μεγάλη θέρμη και πίστη σε κάθε άλλη περίπτωση στην υπηρεσία μας στην οποία χρησιμοποιήθηκαν από τους Δημόσιους Αντιπροσώπους μας, όπως ένας αριθμός από αυτούς έχει βεβαιωθεί, και όπως τα νέα, στην τελευταία επιστροφή από τη θάλασσα από το Γενικό Καπετάνιο επαληθεύουν πλήρως.  Κατά συνέπεια το καλοκάγαθο κράτος πείθεται για να επεκτείνει προς το πρόσωπο και το σπίτι του ικέτη εκείνες τις συνηθισμένες πράξεις της ευεργεσίας, με άλλες της παρόμοιας ευκολίας. Επομένως αποφάσισε ότι ο τίτλος του Κόμη μαζί με τα προνόμια συνηθισμένα σε μια τέτοια τάξη, πρέπει να παραχωρηθεί στον Ιππότη Stamatello Bosichi και τους νόμιμους απογόνους του στοδιηνεκές: και όπως σχετικά με τις ιδιότητες του ιδίου ικέτη, ότι αυτό το θέμα πρέπει να αναφερθεί στους ανώτερους υπαλλήλους της εξεταστικής στο Μοριά για τις για να του δώσουν οποιαδήποτε άνεση θα σκεφτούν ακριβώς: από πού από τέτοιες Μαρτυρίες της Δημόσιας Μεγαλοδωρίας πρέπει να λάβει τη μεγαλύτερη ενθάρρυνση για να συνεχίσει με τις αποδείξεις του σεβασμού του προς την εξουσία μας.

Στο όνομα του Θεού Αιώνια Αμήν. Κατά το έτος από την ενανθρώπιση του Κυρίου Ιησού Χριστού μας χίλια επτακόσια πενήντα επτά, και στο πέμπτο Ινδικτιώνος. Την πραγματική ημέρα του Κυρίου [Κυριακή] και ο δέκατος έβδομος μήνας του Ιουλίου.

Με την παρουσία μου στον συμβολαιογράφο και των μαρτύρων των οποίων τα ονόματα έχουν εγγραφεί, είναι συγκεντρωμένοι οι περισσότεροι ο αιδεσιμώτατος Σιόρ Δον Γεώργιο Patussa, Πρύτανης και Master του Κολλεγίου Φλαγγίνη σε αυτή την πόλη, μαζί με Signori Λεονάρντο Sografo, Panagiotti Σαραντί, και Zuanne Decca, και υπό το φως της αλήθειας, και σύμφωνα με την πλήρη γνώση και ορισμένων που λένε ότι έχουν τα θέματα των γραπτών κάτω, ο καθένας στον τομέα  έχοντας κάνει τον  όρκο του με την ορκομωσία με ένα χέρι στο στήθος του και το άλλο χέρι στις Γραφές, να καθαιρέσουν, βεβαιώσουν και επιβεβαιώσουν ότι η οικογένεια Signor Bosichi ήταν μια από οι αρχαίες και κύριες οικογένειες της αρχαίας πόλης της Αθήνας, άχοντας πάντα αλληλοπαντρευτεί με τις γυναίκες της καλύτερης ποιότητας μεταξύ των πραγματικών χριστιανικών κατοίκων εκείνης της πόλης, και ότι η οικογένειά του που είναι εθελοντικά υπαγόμενη στο έτος 1688 στην Γαληνοτάτη Δημοκρατία της Βενετίας, ο κύριος Stamatello Bosichi, με το να ξεχωρίσει μεταξύ άλλων από την πίστη του προς τις χριστιανικές σημαίες, ήταν τιμημένος με τον βαθμό και τον τίτλο του Ιππότη από τον Γαληνότατο Δόγη, Francesco Morosini: και μεταφερμένος στο Morea με τους άλλους κατοίκους εκείνης της χώρας για να ζήσουν κάτω από την εξουσία της προαναφερθείσας Γαληνοτάτης Δημοκρατίας, που παραλαμβάνεται από τη φεουδαρχική τελετή απονομής των ιδιαιτέρων εδαφών, ως τα δημόσια έγγραφα καθιστούν σαφές και ως ανταμοιβή για τις υπηρεσίες του, διακοσμήθηκε επίσης με το βαθμό και τον τίτλο του Κόμη για τον εαυτό του και για τους απογόνους του στο διηνεκές.  Ενώθηκε στη συνέχεια σε γάμο με την κυρία Floru διαφορετικά Fiorina Di Mercadanto, που προήλθε ομοίως από μια διακεκριμένη οικογένεια από την Αθήνα, αυτός που έχει έναν νόμιμο και φυσικό γιο από αυτήν, γεννημένο στην πόλη Πάτρας όπου είχε καθορίσει τη διανομή του, ο οποίος κλήθηκε Leonardo, και από του οποίου τον επόμενο γάμο με κυρία Μαρία Mandello, μία ευγενή κυρία από μια ομοίως αξιόλογη οικογένεια από την ίδια πατρίδα του την Αθήνα, το πρωτότοκο παιδί ήταν ο Signor Rodi ή διαφορετικά Rodolfo, το οποίο εκπαιδεύτηκε και σπούδασε στη Βενετία, από όπου κινήθηκε έπειτα προς το Καντίζ, όπου ζει αυτή την περίοδο, διατηρώντας τις οικογενειακές συνδέσεις του και σχέση με Σιορ Κόμη Giorgio Macola, ο γιος του Σιόρ Bernardo, Κόμης και ιππότης, και η Signora η κοντέσα Chiara Mandello, αδελφή του προαναφερθέντος Signora Μαρία, και με Σιόρ Κόμη Demetrio Peruli που έχει ως σύζυγό του τη Signora κοντέσα Eugenia Macola, κόρη του προαναφερθέντος Κόμη και Ιππότης Bernardo και της κοντέσας Chiara, και οι εν λόγω οικογένειες Macola και Peruli που προέρχονται από την πρώτη θέση μεταξύ των Αθηναίων.

Όλα τα προαναφερθέντα θέματα γίνονται αποδεκτά πλήρως από αυτούς τους μάρτυρες, και πιστοποιούνται από τη δημόσια φωνή και τη γνώση, και οι εν λόγω άνθρωποι αναγνωρίζονται από όλους και μοναδικά ως εκείνοι οι ίδιοι άνθρωποι που αρχικά γεννήθηκαν στην Αθήνα και Πάτρα και στη συνέχεια με έδρα στη Βενετία και αυτό αποδεικνύεται με τη βοήθεια αυτών των παρουσών καταθέσεών τους, δεδομένου ότι δεν είναι δυνατό να αποδειχθούν όλα από τα δημόσια έγγραφα, λαμβάνοντας υπόψη τη διασπορά των οικογενειών και των αρχείων εξαιτίας των εξαγριωμένων και σκληρών εισβολών του Morea από τους Τούρκους και τόσο πρόθυμοι είναι αυτοί για να βεβαιώσουν και να καθαιρέσουν τον σκοπό αυτό ότι θα το πράξουν,  ακόμη και ως μάρτυρες ενόρκως ενώπιον οποιουδήποτε δικαστηρίου και δικαστικής αρχής, και οπουδήποτε αυτό μπορεί να είναι

Θεσπισμένος στη Βενετία, ο Don Leonardo Sografi και Don Panagiotti Savandi που κατέθεσε αυτό που έίναι γραμμένο την προαναφερθείσα ημέρα, στο γραφείο μου ο συμβολαιογράφος στην πλατεία του Αγίου Μάρκου: οι μάρτυρες στa προαναφερθέντα είναι Don Giovanni Antonini [ γιος του], και Don Giovanni Rizzioli Paulini, γιος του Don Girolamo.

Εγώ, ο Don Gabriel Rombenchi, Πρόξενος της Καθολικής Μεγαλειότητάς Του σε αυτήν τη Γαληνοτάτη Δημοκρατία της Βενετίας, πιστοποιώ ότι ο  ανωτέρω ονομαζόμενος Σενιόρ Juan Francisco Premuda, από το χέρι του οποίου γράφονται τα παραπάνω, και του οποίου το χέρι εμφανίζεται επίσης αλλού στο πλαίσιο του διατάγματος της 27^ης  Ιουλίου 1757, έχει υπογράψει αυτές τις παρούσες δημόσιες επιστολές και διατάγματα, που επιβεβαιώνονται επίσης από τη βασιλική σφραγίδα αυτής της Γαληνοτάτης Δημοκρατίας, όπως μπορεί να φανεί, και ότι αυτός είναι ο διορισμένος γραμματέας αυτού του άριστου δικαστηρίου των φεουδαρχικών δικαιωμάτων, και είναι γνωστός σε μενα, και ότι σε όλους τους ισχυρισμούς του και άλλες πράξεις που έχουν περάσει και περνούν ενώπιον του, έχει δώσει πάντα και δίνει τη πλήρει καλή πίστη και την αξιοπιστία με τις κρίσεις του, και έξω από αυτές και έτσι ώστε η αλήθεια μπορεί να ειπωθεί οπουδήποτε είναι απαραίτητο, εγώ κάνω με το παρόν έγγραφο την υπογραφή μου, που υπογράφεται από το χέρι μου και σφραγίζεται με τη σφραγίδα των Βασιλικών Όπλων της Καθολικής Μεγαλειότητάς του, μπορεί να τον σώσει ο Θεός [για όσα περισσότερα?] χρόνια Εκείνος μπορεί..

La primogenita figlia di dedizione delle vostre insigni vittorie in Regno della Morea vantasi d’essere la nazione Ateniese, e li cittadini di quella Patria nelle loro volontarie perdite de posti cospicui e delle non poche sostanze si gloriano essere divenuti sudditi fedelissimi della vostra Regia Clemenza e sviscerati seguaci dé prodigiosi vostri progressi. Tralli molti dei Principali che concorsero a rendersi benemiriti. Adoratori et esporre la vita ai Cimenti per le vostre maggiori glorie fú il Cava:^r Stamatello Bosichi primate di Atene e suddito e servo umilissimo di V: Serenità, mentre dopo il di lui pasaggio con la famiglia dalla Patria in Morea dando veridiche prove dell’ossequiosa sua fedeltà nelli azzardi piú pericolosi in tutte le Campagne della passata guerra cimento non solo la propria vita ma anco il numero di 100 e piú persone ammassate nelle importantissime difese di Lepanto. Non rammemora Principe Serenissimo la lunga serie di moltiplici servizi prestati a pubblico beneficio con le accudite sue insinuazioni nei vantaggi dei pubblici Dazi si nelle necessarie provisioni dei foraggi come in moltissime altre pubbliche premure mentre da Carte del Cap:ⁿ General Corner et altri Pubblici Rappresentanti viene autenticato il di lui lungo prestato servizio e la svisceratezza sua verso il pubblico riverito Nome. Adorno di tal prestata sua servitú comparisce umilissimo al Trono augusto di V:^a Serenità per mezzo di suo Interveniente e col suo primo riverentissimo ricorso implora col piú profondo ossequio dalla Clemente vostra Munificenza il Titolo di Contea nelli beni da lui tenuti ad affitto contenuti nell’ inclusa nota con la sola corrisponsione della Decima e quel di più fosse generalmente imposto; e diffondendo poi il Raggio benefico della vostra paterna beneficenza, venga ad illustrare la sua persona del Titolo di Conte e suoi Posteri in perpetuo cosiche passi a decorare con la persona la sua famiglia. Tralle famiglie Ateniesi, che trasferirono la propria abitazione nel Regno della Morea anco quella del Cavalier Stamatello Bosichi, distinse la propria devozione verso la Signoria nostra in molti incontri della passata guerra, e particolarmente nelle pericolose urgenze di Corinto, e di Lepanto, dove accorse con buon numero di persone a sue spese, essendosi pure impiegato con fervore e con fede in ogni altra occasione del nostro servizio in cui fú dai Pubbli:^ci Rapresentanti adoperato, come varj loro attestati, e l’informazioni dell’ultimo ritornato Cap:n Generale da Mar pienamente lo comprobano. Da ciò persuasa la benignità Pubblica ad estendere verso la Persona e Casa del benemerito supplicante quelli atti di Beneficenza che si sono con altri in parità di convenienza praticati. Constituiti alla presenza di me Notaro e delli Testimoni infrascritti il Reverendissimo Sig:r Don Georgio Patussa Rettore e Maestro del Seminario Flangini di questa città, nec non li Signori Leonardo Sografi, Panagiotti Sarandi, e Zuanne Decca, et a lume della verità, e per l’intiera, e certa cognizione che dissero avere delle cose infrascritte con loro giuramento tacto pectore et tactis scripturis respectivè prestito depongono attestano et affermano qualmente la famiglia de Signori Bosichi fú delle antiche e primarie dell’ antica Città di Atene propagatasi sempre con matrimoni in femine delle piú qualificate tralle originarie Cristiane di quella Città, la quale essendosi volontariamente assogettata nell’anno 1688 alle armi della Serenissima Repubblica di Venezia per essersi tralli altri distinto nella fedelta verso le Insegne Cristiane il g:^m Stamatello Bosichi fú decorato del grado e titolo di Cavaliere dal Serenissimo Doge Francesco Morosini: et essendosi trasportato nella Morea colli altri abitanti di quella Patria per vivere sotto il Dominio della predetta Serenissima Republica ne riportò Investitura feudale di riguardevoli Terre come dai pubblici Documenti apparisce, et in premio alle sue benemerenze fú anco decorato del grado e titolo di Conte per se e per li suoi discendenti in perpetuo.  Accoppiatosi poi in matrimonio con la Sig:^ra Florù o sia Fiorina di Mercadanto parimenté di Famiglia distinta d’Atene n’ebbe un figlio legittimo e naturale natogli nella Città di Patrasso dove avea fissato la sua dimora che fú chiamato Leonardo dal quale poi maritato nell Sig:r Maria Mandello Gentildonna di famiglia altresi cospicua della medesima Patria di Atene nacque Primogenito il Sig:^r Rodi o sia Rodolfo che ebbe la sua educazione e fece i suoi studi in Venezia, di dove passò poi in Cadice, ove al presente dimora conservando la relazione della sua congiunzione e parentela col Sig:^r Co: Giorgio Macola figlio del Sig:^r Bernardo Conte, e Cavaliere e della Signora Contessa Chiara Mandello sorella della predetta Sig:^r Maria e col Sig:^r C. A record of the humble and reverent supplication made on behalf of, and in the name of, the Faithful Count Rodolfo Bosichi, Athenian, in which the merciful Sovereign State shows itself to have been pleased to extend the acts of its Royal Munificence towards the person and House of the gentleman Knight Stamatello otherwise Michele Bosichi, Athenian, his [Rodolfo’s] grandfather, by conferring on the same person and his legitimate descendants the special title of Count, in generous recognition of the good services he rendered, as more fully appears in the gracious decree of the Most Excellent Senate of 19^th January 1701, regarding which there is a plea from the said Grandson and descendant of the said Count Knight Stamatello that his name and that of his legitimate descendants in perpetuity should be registered in the book of Titled People with the aforementioned title of Count: And also having seen the above cited decree of the Most Excellent Senate, having considered the good services rendered and the titles of the first Invested Count Knight Stamatello otherwise Michele, and having heard the opinion of Doctor Nicolo Caramundani, Legal Counsel: Their Excellencies have determined, and determine, and have ordered, that the name of this supplicant should remain registered under the title of Count in the book of Titled People, which is in the form of a public ordinance and is lodged with this Court, and thus also should be written therein the names of his legitimate descendants in perpetuity, in compliance with the above said Decree; whence to enjoy the legal use of the said Title with the honours, privileges and rights of precedence which belong to such Titled People.

May it please the merciful Sovereign State to extend towards the Person and House of the gentleman Knight Stamatello otherwise Michele Bosichi, Athenian, the acts of its Royal Munificence through conferring on the same person and on his descendants in perpetuity the special title of Count, in generous recognition of the good services he rendered, as more fully appears in the gracious Decree of the Most Excellent Senate of 19^th January 1701. From the same person was born Leonardo, and from him [Leonardo] amongst others, was born Rodolfo, Grandson of the said Stamatello Count and Knight, and he [Rodolfo] appeals, in accordance with the law, to the authority of the present Most Excellent Court, and reverently begs that he the said person of that name, and those who have that of his descendants in perpetuity, should remain registered in the book of Titled People with the aforesaid title of Count, whence to enjoy the legal use of this title with the honours, privileges and rights of precedence which belong to such Titled People, and that this be in accordance with the above mentioned Decree: Gracious thanks.

Amongst the many Leading People who came together to render good and worshipful services to you and to risk and hazard their life for your greater glory was the Knight Stamatello Bosichi, a pre-eminent person of Athens, and the most humble subject and servant of Your Serenity, whilst after his move, together with his family, from his home Country into Morea he gave real proof of his respectful fidelity through the most dangerous risks taken in all the Campaigns of the past war, hazarding not only his own life but also that of the number of 100 and more people gathered together in the most important defence of Lepanto. Do not forget, Most Serene Prince, the long series of multiple services he rendered for public benefit with his attendant involvement in advantageous public Duties, whether regarding the procurement of essential provisions through forage or whether through many other public concerns, whilst the Letters of Captain General Corner and other Public Representatives can authenticate his long period of service and his great devotion to your revered Name. Marked out by having rendered such services, he appears most humbly before the august Throne of Your Serenity through his Intermediary and with his first most reverent plea he implores with most profound respect from your Merciful Munificence the Title of Earldom [Countship] over the properties held by him on lease, contained in the enclosed note, only as regarding the Tithe and that [tax?] which may be more generally imposed; and begs that the beneficent Ray of your paternal beneficence may come to illuminate his person with the Title of Count and thus similarly pass on from his person to embellish his family and Posterity in perpetuity. From amongst the Athenian families who transferred their own homes into the Kingdom of Morea, that of Knight Stamatello Bosichi is included and is distinguished by his devotion towards our Dominion in the many encounters of the last war, and in particular in the dangerous emergencies at Corinth and at Lepanto, where he hastened with a good number of other people at his own expense, being employed with considerable fervour and faith on every other occasion in our service in which he was made use of by our Public Representatives, as a number of them have witnessed, and as the news in the last return from the Sea Captain General fully verifies. In consequence the benign State is persuaded to extend towards the Person and House of the deserving supplicant those usual acts of beneficence, with others of similar convenience. It is therefore decreed that the title of Count together with the privileges usual to such a rank, should be conceded to Knight Stamatello Bosichi and his legitimate descendants in perpetuity: and as regarding the properties of the same supplicant, that this matter should be referred to the Officers of Inquiry in Morea for them to give him whatever comfort they shall think just: whence from such Testimonies of Public Munificence he should receive greater encouragement to continue with proofs of his own respect towards our Dominion.

In the Name of God Eternal Amen. In the year from the Incarnation of Our Lord Jesus Christ one thousand seven hundred and fifty seven, and in the Fifth Indiction. On the true day of the Lord [Sunday] the seventeenth of the month of July.

In the presence of me the Notary and of the witnesses whose names are subscribed, are assembled the most Reverend Signor Don Georgio Patussa, Rector and Master of the Flangini College in this City, along with Signori Leonardo Sografo, Panagiotti Sarandi, and Zuanne Decca, and in the light of the truth, and according to the complete and certain knowledge which they say they have of the matters written below, each respectively having made his oath by swearing with one hand on his breast and the other hand on the Scriptures, they depose, attest and affirm that the family of Signor Bosichi was one of the ancient and leading families of the ancient City of Athens, having always intermarried with women of the highest quality from among the original Christian inhabitants of that City, and that his family becoming voluntarily subject in the year 1688 to the Most Serene Republic of Venice, the gentleman Stamatello Bosichi was, through standing out amongst the others by his faithfulness towards the Christian flags, decorated with the rank and title of Knight by the Most Serene Doge, Francesco Morosini:  and being transported to the Morea with the other inhabitants of that Country to live under the Dominion of the aforesaid Most Serene Republic, received from him by feudal Investiture considerable Lands, as public Documents make clear; and as a reward for his services, he was also decorated with the rank and title of Count for himself and for his descendants in perpetuity. He was subsequently joined in marriage to Signora Floru otherwise Fiorina di Mercadanto, who similarly came from a distinguished Family from Athens, he having one legitimate and natural son by her, born in the City of Patras where he had fixed his abode, who was called Leonardo, and from whose subsequent marriage to Signora Maria Mandello, a Gentlewoman from a similarly notable family from the same home Country of Athens, the First-born child was Signor Rodi otherwise Rodolfo, who was educated and studied in Venice, whence he then moved to Cadiz, where he is living at the present time, maintaining his family connections and relationship with Signor Count Giorgio Macola, the son of Signor Bernardo, Count and Knight, and of Signora the Countess Chiara Mandello, sister of the aforesaid Signora Maria, and with Signor Count Demetrio Peruli who has as his Wife the Signora Countess Eugenia Macola, daughter of the aforesaid Count and Knight Bernardo and of Countess Chiara, both the said Macola and Peruli families coming from the first class amongst the Athenians.

All the aforesaid matters are fully accepted by these Witnesses, and certified by public voice and knowledge, and the people in question are recognised by all and singular as being those same people originally born in Athens and Patras and subsequently established in Venice; and this is proved by means of these their present depositions, since it is not possible to prove it all from public documents, given the dispersal of the families and of the archives following on from the furious and cruel invasions of the Morea by the Turks; and so willing are they to witness and depose to this effect that they would even do so by testifying on oath before any Court and Tribunal whatsoever, and wherever that might be.

Enacted atVenice, Don Leonardo Sografi and Don Panagiotti Savandi having testified to what is written above on the aforesaid day, in the office of me the Notary in St Mark’s Square: the witnesses to the aforesaid being Don Giovanni Antonini [son of] gentleman Antonio, and Don Giovanni Rizzioli Paulini, son of Don Girolamo.

Don Giovanni [or Zuanne] Decca has testified to the what is written above, on Monday the eighteenth day of the said month, in the office of me the Notary in the Rialto Square, these witnesses being present: Don Giuseppe Rossi [son of] Don Bartolomeo, and Don Pietro Fedrici [son of] Don Antonio.

The Most Reverend Patussa has testified to what is written above, on the aforesaid day in the office of me the Notary in St Mark’s Square, these witnesses being present: Don Giuseppe Ais [son of] Don Carlo, and Don Giovanni Sandidier [son of] gentleman Domenico.

I, Giuseppe Uccelli, Native of the City and Public Notary of the Venetians, have signed and sealed in good faith and on request these aforesaid matters.

I, Don Gabriel Rombenchi, His Catholic Majesty’s Consul to this Most Serene Republic of Venice, certify that the above named Señor Juan Francisco Premuda, in whose hand the above is written, and whose hand also appears elsewhere under the Decree dated the 27^th July 1757, has signed these present Public Letters and Decrees, corroborated also by the Royal Seal of this Most Serene Republic, as can be seen, and that he is the appointed Secretary of this Most Excellent Court of Feudal Rights, and is well-known to me, and that in all his assertions and other Acts which have passed and pass before him, he has always given and gives complete good faith and credibility in his judgements, and outside of them; and so that the Truth may be told wherever necessary, I hereby make my signature, signed by my hand and sealed with the seal of the Royal Arms of His Catholic Majesty, may God save him [for as many?] years as He can.
